Great to welcome our patron, Kim Richards MP, at MIAC today, her enthusiasm and support is so appreciated by all.

Labor member for Redlands in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2017, Kim has a background in architecture and design, she is determined to ensure that development in the area is sensitive to the local environment to achieve good urban design outcomes for the community. For many years, Kim has given her time to community groups and charities. She has served as director for the Zonta Club of Wynnum Redlands and was a member of the QShelter Management Committee. She is passionate about improving infrastructure, transport services, health and education for the community she loves. We look forward to hearing more about Kims role in the up coming Asia Pacific Architecture Forum 13-26 March 2019

Following her visit to  her visit to Macleay Island Arts Complex, Kim made a surprise visit to the Renegades Mens Shed. Active friends and supporters of MIAC, this group of extremely handy people were very happy to show off their latest contribution, perfect wooden boxes for use in our gallery as display plinths, thanks guys.
